This Hardcover First Edition of Face the Music has been personally Autographed by Paul Stanley. Exclusively Made Available at PremiereCollectibles.com.
Raw and confessional, Face the Music is the revelatory memoir from Paul Stanley, the front man and rhythm guitarist for KISS—an entertaining, surprising, and humorous tale of pain, determination, celebrity, and endurance that fully captures both the man and his legendary band for the first time
In this gripping memoir, Paul Stanley mixes compelling personal revelations and gripping, gritty war stories about the highs and lows of life inside and beyond KISS. Stanley takes us back to his childhood in the 1950s and ’60s, a traumatic time made more painful thanks to a physical deformity. Born with a condition called microtia, he grew up partially deaf, with only one ear—a visual difference that set him apart in a socially conformist age. Yet it also instilled in him the burning drive to succeed in the most unlikely of pursuits: music.
Stanley recalls the events that led to KISS’ creation, and offers candid insights into his personal relationships, including two marriages, and the turbulent dynamics with his band mates over the past four decades. Throughout, no one comes out unscathed—including Paul himself.
Illustrated with classic and never-before-seen photos and images, Face the Music is a colorful portrait of a man and the band he helped to create, define, and sustain—made larger than life in artfully told stories that are shocking, funny, inspirational, and honest.
